Thelema Trio
… an unusual ensemble that believes in music without boundaries. With their unique line-up of saxophones (Peter Verdonck), clarinets (Rik De Geyter) and piano (Ward De Vleeschhouwer) they want to promote and perform new music from the 21st century and use their unique instrumentation beyond the borders of their classical training, which has made them a voice for many contemporary composers. Their program offers a wide range of styles, new performance techniques, and a chance for each performer to really shine and strut performance chops that seem endless and yet continued to grow with each new piece you hear. Within diverse contemporary composition styles going from a filmic blaze of colors, and an orchestral lushness to the energy and power of avant-garde, in which emotion and story are primary and thoughts can roam free.
After a number of demo-CD’s came their first full-length
album "Thelema..." in April 2007, on which both compositions of
the members as works from all over the world were featured.
In 2008 they recorded a second CD with American music, published with Innova
Recordings and to be released in 2009.
Aranis

Aranis is a group that devotes its time to creating and performing new,
adventurous music.
The music is filled with contrasts and opposing themes.
It's dark and light at the same time. It's beautiful and nasty, simple and
complex. It has a personality of its own and nevertheless you can hear the
influences from a multitude of different genres and styles. Never heard
before and yet recognisable.
It is through the combination of these opposing themes and influences that emerges a contemporary and vibrant sort of music with a very unique character.
Aranis is composed of a core of five impassioned musicians.
Depending on the project Aranis is working on, they call upon guest musicians
to complete the sound. The main characteristics of their performances are
a delicate and dynamic orchestration in which they constantly search for
a fresh and lively rendition.

Kinsa Trio
Kinsa trio performs a unique program of Peruvian music from beginning of
the XX century, in special arrangements by Marco Antonio Mazzini.

Present - 2006
Ward was invited to play in a unique project with Present, a Belgian Progressive
Rock group formed by Roger Trigaux. The line-up for this project was for
2 piano's, percussion and vocals. The first performance took place on the
festival 'Rock In Opposition' on 15th of April in Le Garric (Carmaux), France.

A Tryst - 2003
This project was founded in 2003 and combinations of compositions of Ward De Vleeschhouwer with traditional African music and dance. The first performance took place on 22 March 2003 in Gent.
