Here are the first pictures of our new puppy Moonlake Making Sure, callname "Bowie", bred by Miss Gay Robertson. The pictures were taken when Bowie was 10 weeks old on the day we travelled to England to pick him up. After two weeks in our family, he felt really at home and turned out to be an extremely friendly pup, full of life and love.
During our short stay with Miss Robertson, we were so lucky to meet several of Bowie's family members. We are proud to share their pictures with you.
Although we don't show a lot, Bowie gained some nice results until now : he became Best Junior under Mrs. R. Flatt (UK) at hist first CACIB show at 9 months and 5th Best Junior in Show. The first time in open class (2002) he won the RCAC under Mrs. Dams and he won another RCAC under Dr. Paeske in Dortmund (D) In 2003 he continued his show carreer with some good wins under breed specialists : he became Clubsieger 2003 in Pfungstadt (D) under Mrs. Jones, won the RCAC in Hellenthal (D) under Mr. Van den Broek, won a CAC under Mrs. Gillespie in Echt (NL) and a RCAC and RCACIB under Mrs. Kenis-Pordham in Belgium.
In August 2002 Bowie was mated to Barmoll Birthday Wish "Bridie", owned by Sue Korompis-Gillespie of the Briary Kennel. The litter was born on September 15, 2002. There were 3 boys and one girl. All turned out very beautiful with an extremely friendly character.
In 2003, Bowie started his coursing career in the "Sprinters" class (+ 51 cm). Unfortunately, he tore off some ligaments in his foot during the coursing in Lummen in September 2003. As a result he had two surgeries. During the second one, his toe was amputated. For a few weeks he was not allowed to go on walks. Poor little chap.
He recoved well and started performing very well in the show ring. He became a Dutch champion in 2005. We also started agility with him in the summer of 2005. Due to his toe injury, we do not let him jump at the correct height, but both Marc and Bowie seem to have a pleasant time together.
In 2006 Bowie was mated to Whipcat No Angel "Nelly", owned by Birgit and Steffen of the Gnomenhain kennel (Germany). The litter was born on August 21, 2006. There were 3 boys and 5 girls. Tinne really hopes there is a promising boy between them. We decided to get a puppy from the litter, Funky.
