With a manuscript title page (calligraphed in large gilt letters). Contains 7 original photographs mounted on thick board leaves, with semi transparent silky protection leaves. The last photograph is slightly damaged due to offsetting of the silky leaf. The photographs show the outside and the interiors of the theatre . Lower edge of the title with some minor traces of water, the cloth album binding a bit worn and rather dusty. Some album leaves with marginal stains but all photographs (except n°7) in fine condition. The photographs bear manuscript captions underneath. Pola Negri ( 1897 - 1987) of Polish origin was the first European film star to make it in Hollywood where she became a world famous actress and femme fatale. She was already a very accomplished actress in Warsaw before she went to the USA where she arrived in 1922. The theatre located in Warsaw Wierzbowa 7 was apparently built in 1930, as a state of the art modern film theatre, with a large balcony.
