Clanbase Cup Fall '99
Cicatrix vs clan SoloQuaker's Alliance - Nov 25th 1999

Well I don't feel like writing a report after my lousy performance, but the Cup admin Uncle Les wrote a nice report on Clanbase so let's just steal that...

MAP I - DM7

Comments:

Because of the connection problems we chose to not play dm2 there first but instead tried to do this as late as possible to have at least a CHANCE on a decent connection. So over to SNT we went...

We finally got our fight going, with Predator, reminding us that he is a CTF player, joining the ranks of SQA. Though not for long... He soon overflowed and never came back... Fortunately for SQA Bosjer is a man of honor and left his team as well.

Cx had taken a quick lead and soon the gap was growing fairly wide, but the loss of Bosjer seemed to destroy teamplay and ]SQA[ came closing in... In the beginning I had already noticed Goody changing the teamname to Goody instead of SQA. I never thought he did this because he would make more than half of SQA's frags, but he did!!! Damn, drop that dude in a level with a Super Shotgun and he'll tear your soul apart... After some time FiLCoN joined and we got back to a 4 vs 4, but Cx could not regain control and slowly but steadily ]SQA[ moved in for the kill eventually taking away the win...

Comments:

About this level I can be a little shorter, although I must say that Cicatrix did not get their feared Quad-control...

We saw alot of glowing ]SQA[-warriors too, which kept the margins fairly narrow, still Cx had the upper hand all through the match, resulting in a severe beating of the Solo Quakers Alliance.

Special kudos to Warlock who managed to get his ass killed only 5 times in the entire 20 minutes...

Total: Cx beats SQA by 203 to 168 frags.

Well that was it folks... Again a damn fine match to watch.

GG ]SQA[ and Cx. Greetz, Uncle Les.
