MAP I - DM2 - Powerups 1

Comments:

This was played on the LW server, which was laggy for everyone. SQA's pings were about 80 there, three of us had >100 while I had 60. We've played this map only once in recent months and have never practiced it, we chose it for this war coz we wanted to practice it now :) Well to our surprise they seemed to know the map well, and they had a great start while we just got in each other's way. They had total quad control throughout the first 5 minutes and built a lead of about 20 frags. After a while we organised ourselves a little, took RA control to never lose it again, and got about as many quads as they did. Warlock and especially SemperFy played very well. Cx won 108-76.

Their map on the Dutch xs4all server. I had a great ping there, Kingpin had about 150 and SemperFy and Warlock close to 300. A very big lag disadvantage for us, and we had to completely change our usual position, me doing the rail instead of Warlock, something I've never done before. The first few minutes were okay, the score went up equally, but then they got on top and got a big lead. 5 minutes before the end the aggregate score was in their advantage, I think they were almost 40 frags ahead. Then we squeezed out a big final effort and even got map control for the last minutes, reducing the gap enough to win the match: 107-91 for SQA. SemperFy played a great game (look at his ping!), and generally Cx did great considering our disadvantage. Results like these are bigger victories than most actual victories :)

Total: Cx beats SQA by 199 to 183 frags.
Well, we had hoped for a much bigger win, but considering the lag we're glad we still won the match. gg SQA!
