Onze club is in
2007 aan z'n 40ste
internationale 3-daagse toe.
In 1999 namen niet minder dan 194 buitenlandse renners deel aan deze wedstrijd. In
totaal waren we met zo'n 300 atleten. In 2000 waren we met al zo'n 235 buitenlandse atleten,
waaronder de nationale selectie uit Italië, Frankrijk, Nederland, Denemarken en Groot-Brittanië.
In 2001 waren er niet minder dan 370 atleten aan de start. Naast Italië,
Frankrijk, Nederland, Groot-Brittanië, Hongarije, Denemarken, ... was voor het
eerst ook Indië present! In 2002 was het een echt topjaar.... en dit
vanzelfsprekend omdat meteen er na ook de Wereldkampioenschappen doorgingen op
de piste. Alle grote namen verschenen (soms maar voor een enkele wedstrijd) aan
de start.
In 2007 wordt de wedstrijd georganiseerd op 10-11 en 12 augustus.

Introduction - who we are
Zwaantjes Roller Club is one of the oldest speed roller skating (now inline skating) clubs in Belgium.
In 2002 we celebrate our 40th anniversary.
We have about 250 members of which 70 take part in competition throughout Belgium and
throughout the world.
Each year our club organizes a 3-day international competition, in 2002 for the
35th
time.
In 1999 we welcomed for this event over 300 athletes from Belgium and other
European countries. In 2001 we had about 370 athletes of
which the national teams of Denmark, Britain, Italy (youth), France (youth) & the Netherlands.
For the first time, a team of India was present. In 2002 -with the world
championships just days away, all the big names used the international event to
try out wheels/bearings/frames.
In 2007 the Grand Prix will be held in the weekend August 10-11-12

40th international 3-day competitionGrote Prijs van Vlaanderen Inline Skating 2007
This 3-day competition is one of the biggest in Europe.
Although the meeting itself is professionally managed, the organisation has kept it's friendly - homely nature, and athletes feel at home. The meeting itself is strongly supported by the local people of Zandvoorde/Ostend.
Some of the athletes are staying with Belgian families during the three day event, or are being transferred to hotels in the city of Ostend. In 2000 we welcomed over 230 foreign athletes from all over Europe (Denmark, Germany, Great-Brittain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, USA ....). In 2001 this number has risen to more than 250 foreign athletes from all over the world. 2002 was a magical year as all the big guns were eager to try out the track with the World Championships just days away.
In 2007 the international weekend is organised on August 10-11-12th.
